Cowboy Culture – Art and the Contemporary Cowboy

Presented by Don Reeves, Curator of Cowboy Culture, National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum 


Don Reeves holds the McCasland Chair of Cowboy Culture at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum and has been on the curatorial staff since 1979. During the recent Museum expansion he curated the Children’s Cowboy Corral, American Cowboy, and Western Performers Galleries. Reeves worked with the Traditional Cowboy Arts Association since its inception in 1998 and has curated its annual exhibitions. Author of numerous exhibition publications and magazine articles, he has also participated in a host of television and documentary film projects.
