Living History Lantern Tours at Humphrey Heritage Village
An Annual Event Held in mid-September to Celebrate Cherokee Strip Days
Friday, September 15, 2017
$12 per person
The Lantern Tours event takes 1890s Cherokee Strip history straight from the Heritage Center’s Archives and recreates the stories. Thank you to John and Nancy Burgett for generously sponsoring the 2017 Lantern Tours.
This year the theme is Early Day Medicine – Cures, Ailments and Absurd Concoctions. Nine different scenes will be reenacted by Heritage Center volunteers and will take place throughout Humphrey Heritage Village.
Tours begin at 7 p.m. with groups of 15. A new tour will start every 15 minutes. The tours last about an hour and a half and end with music and refreshments.
This very popular event is always a sellout. We recommend getting your tickets in advance!
