Sixth Annual Cherokee Strip Days Gala
The Roaring Twenties: "Spangles & Speakeasies"
The Heritage Center gala committee and staff pulled out all the stops for this 1920’s party that was nothing short of roaring!
Guests entered the era of Prohibition and experienced the extravagance of a swanky joint complete with shady games of chance at the speakeasy, signature cocktails, jazz music by Civilized Tribe Dixieland Band from the University of Central Oklahoma, a lavish dinner featuring a 1920’s inspired menu, and a live auction.
“Each year the gala gets more elaborate," said Daron Rudy, Chairman of the Board. The annual gala is the major fundraising event of the year for the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center.
Proceeds from the event provide much needed support for programs and daily operations of the museum. Members of the event planning committee are Tammy Duncan, Torry Turnbow, Lori Carroll and Lish Glasser.
With an Endowment Campaign underway, a Gala will not be held in 2016.
